Chicago

The Dallas style hot dog is known throughout the country, but not by its original namesake. As far as condiments go, nothing compliments a corndog quite like the one two punch of ketchup and mustard.
New York

It's simply not part of the recipe.
New Jersey
New York's neighbor to the west enjoys things a little bigger. Thick, 100% ground beef dogs are served on an Italian roll in this heavily Italian-American state. As for toppings, you'll want to try out grilled peppers, onions and occasionally fried potatoes. Every now and then you'll find someone loading a bit of mustard on one of these bad boys.
